In absence of parental care and supervision, baby catfish hatched in muddy water appear to find comfort in each other's companion by exploring in groups. Small and feeble, their only chance of survival is perhaps in numbers.

In my travels, there are places that take on very different looks at different times of the day. Such is the case with Canary Spring, part of the Main Terrace in Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone. Its intermittent discharge and cool morning air make the steam and thermal activities more prominent at dawn compared to dusk.

We drove through 3 states to the National Park. Got up at 5am the next morning to reach Old Faithful to try different shooting angles and setups. As a nature photographer, I never mind going some length just to capture a few particular moments such as when Old Faithfulsâs powerful eruption clouds the rising sun.

Wintry tunnel or winter wonderland, whatever you call it. Winter, despite its harshness and volatility, can be surprisingly beautiful.
